Committee Membership

The full Broads Authority is the main focus for decision making about the Norfolk Broads. However, the Broads Authority is structured into several committees who hold meetings to make decisions on or consult on specific matters such as planning and navigation. The Planning Commitee considers and makes decisions about planning applications. The Navigation Committee and  Broads Forum fulfil a more consultative role. The Authority is required by satute to have a Standards Commitee whose objective is to promote and maintain high standards of conduct by Authority members. The Broads Authority also has a Local Access Forum, a semi-independent body that advises on the improvement of public access to land.
