Corporate Assessment
The Broads Authority has been participating in a performance assessment process which is broadly based on the local authority CPA (Comprehensive Performance Assessment) model, but tailor made to fit the duties and responsibilities of national park authorities (NPAs). The assessment was carried out by a 'peer review' team comprised mainly of employees and members of other NPAs.
The purpose of the assessment programme is to help each NPA to become more aware of its current strengths and areas for improvement, in order that it can build an approach to improvement planning which focuses on the key areas.
An assessment team visited the Broads Authority for the period 21 - 25 November 2005 inclusive and met with as many staff, members and representatives of external partners and user groups as possible in the time available.
