Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000 requires all public bodies (including the Broads Authority) to adopt and maintain a publication scheme. This should specify:
- The classes of information which the Authority publishes or intends to publish
- The manner in which the information will be published

The FOIA also requires all public bodies to detail whether information to be provided is available free of charge or whether a charge is made. The Broads Authority’s Charging for the Provision of Information Policy covers the charging policy for requests for information under the Publication Scheme, FOIA and Environmental Information Regulations (2004).
Please note that a revised Broads Authority Charging for the Provision of Information Policy comes into effect on 1 April 2010 as detailed below
