BA.80 Ashley Duke of Edinburgh’s Award 2 The Ashley School A project that will help young people with special needs, many of whom are from urban areas, to go on canoeing expeditions in the Broads as they work towards their DoE Awards. £776
BA.81 Swan Scouts Sailing Expedition  Nene District Scout Association The ‘Swan’ is one of several ‘Cruises’ for young people that take place in the Broads each Easter.  The SDF grant will fund RYA Assistant Instructor training for two young people who will assist during the 2006 Cruise and in the years ahead. £405
BA.82 Broad Futures 3 Norfolk Environmental Education Service The final stage of Broad Futures. BF3 will offer Learning for Sustainability support to more Broads schools, introduce LfS to Early Years teaching, develop LfS resources for secondary schools and provide LfS training for another 62 Broads teachers. The project will also develop LfS documentation that can be shared with schools in Norfolk and elsewhere in the UK. £24,059
BA.83 Heatwave Puppet Show Nutmeg Puppet Company Development and production of a puppet show and teachers’ pack addressing climate change, rising sea levels and the concept of managed retreat. The project consists of 15 public shows in the Broads - two of them in vulnerable coastal communities - and 15 shows and 20 workshops in Broads schools. £11,113
BA.84 Ellingham Wind Turbine Ellingham Primary School Part funding of a 5kW wind turbine that is expected to generate most of the electricity the school uses each year. The project, which is supported by the local community, will help an already ‘green’ school achieve an additional carbon saving of 7 tonnes per annum. £5,671
BA.85 Cormorants Bursary Scheme 1  The Cormorants  Part funding of a bursary scheme that allowed the Cormorants to offer subsidised places on its 2006 sailing holiday to five young people with special needs who would not otherwise have been able to participate. £340
BA.86   Green Boat Show 2006 - a Silent Sensation  Broads Society  An educational event at Salhouse Broad that will promote ‘green’ boating in particular and ‘green’ ways of enjoying the Broads in general. The free public show will include boat trips and demonstrations plus information and advice on sustainability issues. £1,000 
BA.87      Eco-friendly Hull Cleaning  Galleon Boat Storage    Part funding of innovative boatyard development where boats will be stored out of water or in ‘air’ berths and antifouling paint discouraged. The SDF funding is specific to a WashTek decontamination facility that removes heavy metals and toxins from hull wash water and is the first of its kind in Europe.  £12,500  
BA.88     A Sense of Place  BTCV  Majority funding of a project that will introduce 25 disadvantaged young people to the Broads and to Broads-related activities and encourage them to use their five main senses to compare their impressions of special places in the Broads with those gained in their own communities.   £7,000  
BA.89     Carlton Marshes Local Community Project Suffolk Wildlife Trust   A ‘Community Education Officer’ project that will encourage adults and young people to access the nature reserve, provide specific opportunities for young people to take an active part in conservation work and run ‘sustainable living’ events and a ‘Green Fair’ at Carlton Marshes.    £4,875  
BA.90     Boats for a Sustainable Future - the EcoBoat Project: Phase 3 - Design Anglia Boatbuilders’ Association   Majority funding for Phase 3 of the Anglia (formerly Norfolk and Suffolk) Boatbuilders’ Association EcoBoat project. Building on the successes of the Phase 1 and 2 research work carried out in BA.35, the project will deliver a design and specification for a ‘minimum carbon’ EcoBoat and produce a display.

BA.91    BeWILDerwood -  Electric Boats Bure Valley Adventures Electric conversions for the three boats that are used to transport visitors from the car park to the main woodland activities centre. £9,000
