Local Notice to Mariners No 5 / 2011
LOWESTOFT BASCULE BRIDGE – OVERNIGHT RESTRICTIONS TO SMALL BOAT OPENINGS 15th / 16th MAY 2011
Mariners and Port Users are advised that due to essential maintenance work, there will be no small boat openings for marine craft between 2200hrs Sun 15th May, and 0500hrs Mon 16th May. The last small boat entitlement Sun 15th will be 2100hrs, the next entitlement will be 0500hrs 16th. Please schedule any vessel movements to avoid delays.
This restriction does not apply to vessels requiring a commercial bridge lift, although at least 2 hours notice will be required for a commercial lift during the restriction. Depending on the circumstances, it may be possible to allow small craft to use a commercial lift should one be taking place.
