Helicopter Operations – Lowestoft Outer Harbour

Mariners and Port Users are advised that Bond Air Services will be operating a Helicopter from Lowestoft Outer Harbour. This Helicopter will be servicing the Greater Gabbard Offshore Windfarm, and will be making approximately four flights per day.

The Helipad is located near the entrance to the Waveney Dock in position:-
Lat. 52 28.41’N.   Long. 001 45.31’E.
The approved flight paths for the Helicopter take-off and landing lie in North-Eastly and Southerly directions from this position.
For the safety of vessels and the Helicopter mooring will no longer be permitted anywhere on Waveney Dock No 1 berth.
When take-off and landing of the Helicopter is expected, vessels will not be permitted to transit the immediate area of the Helipad. This requirement is for the safety of the vessels concerned and the Helicopter.

Any vessel wishing to pass between the Waveney & Hamilton Docks and the Outer Harbour Basin is requested to give at least five minutes advance notice of their intentions.  This will enable Port Control to co-ordinate movements to limit delays.
The co-operation of Mariners and Port Users with this Notice will be greatly appreciated
