Changes to Small Boat Opening Times
Mariners and Port Users are advised that due to mechanical / electrical fault, the operation of the Bascule Bridge will be restricted to two set opening times a day for small craft.
The set times will be:
Monday to Friday 0945 and 1600 hrs
Saturday to Sunday 0945 and 1630 hrs
There will be no restrictions to the passage of commercial traffic.
Small boats will be able to take advantage of commercial bridge lifts provided they are transiting in the same direction and subject to the approval of the bridge operators. Please contact Lowestoft Port Control on VHF 14 or Tel 01502 572286 for details of any known commercial movements.
While every effort is being taken to resume the bridge to its normal working, these restrictions may remain in place until late February.
