Local Notice to Mariners No 1 2009
Unreliable Navigational Traffic Control Lights & Fog Signal
Mariners and port-users are advised that the controls for vessel traffic signals and the fog signal at Lowestoft have become unreliable.
The system will be repaired or upgraded, but in the meantime Mariners are requested to exercise particular caution when proceeding within the area of Lowestoft harbour.
The signals with unreliable controls are: -
South Pier Traffic Control Signals
RN&SYC/Yacht Basin Traffic Control Signals
South Pier Fog Signal
Mariners and port-users will be notified when the repairs/ upgrades have been completed.
