Inspection Oulton Broad Railway Swing Bridge
Mariners and Port Users are advised that from Monday 26th March to Wednesday 28th March an inspection of the swing bridge at Oulton Broad will take place from a small barge at various positions under the railway bridge.
This work will be carried out during daylight hours only with the barge operators monitoring VHF Channel 14. If the barge is left on station overnight it will be suitably lit, however it is planned to moor the barge clear of the main navigation channel when not being used.
The inspection will not affect the operation of the swing bridge, other than a slight delay in removing equipment and personnel from the bridge structure.
