Local Notice to Mariners No 7 2008
A12 Bridge Closures Additional Restrictions
Mariners and Port Users are advised that there will now not be any openings on demand for shipping during the night time closures planned for Tuesday 5th Wednesday 6th Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th February 2008 (see LNM No3 2008).
The bridge will only be available for commercial vessels 1.5 hours before and up to the high water times on the 5th/6th/ & 12th February only. High tide times are 2033 hrs 5th 2109 hrs 6th 0059 13th February. Vessels wishing to use the high water for transiting the bridge channel are requested to give Port Control 3 hours' warning that they require a bridge lift (Tel 01502 572286 or VHF 14).
Work will start on the bridge at 2000 hrs if there has not been any request for bridge opening by commercial vessels.
Due to the maintenance work involved there will be no openings on the closure period starting 2000 hrs 13th February.
Bridge Closure times:
2000 hrs 5th February to 0600 hrs 6th February (HW Opening)
2000 hrs 6th February to 0600 hrs 7th February (HW Opening)
2000 hrs 12th February to 0600 hrs 13th February (HW Opening)
2000 hrs 13th February to 0600 hrs 14th February (No Openings)
