Local Notice to Mariners No 11 2006
Barge Movements Outer Harbour
Mariners and Port Users are advised that the barge Viking will arrive at Lowestoft on the 15th or 16th July 2006, for berthing at SLP North Load-out.
This arrival date is subject to operational delays and weather, so the ETA may be subject to change at short notice.
The departure date for the Viking will be Monday 14th August.
The Barge AMT Explorer is due on the 9th / 10th August. The barge Viking will be moved into the Waveney Dock taking up Berths No3, No4 & No5 prior to the AMT Explorer berthing on the North Load-out. The barge Viking will then be moved back alongside the AMT Explorer until its sailing time on the 14th August.
There will be restriction on vessel movements during the arrival and sailing of the barge. Mariners are advised to contact Lowestoft Port Control on VHF 14 or telephone 01502 572286 or contact the Pilots on the towing vessels, for details of vessels movements.
