Barge Arrival & Load-out Outer Harbour
Mariners and Port Users are advised that the Barge AMT Discoverer is due at Lowestoft on Thursday 18th October, ETA 1300 hours at the pier heads. The barge will berth on the North Load-out SLP.
The load-out operation will take place at the South Load-out in the Waveney Dock.
The AMT Discoverer will move to the South Load-out during the afternoon of Wednesday 31st October and remain on the berth overnight for the load-out to take place on Thursday 1st November. If the module can be secured in time the barge will be moved back to the North Load-out. The barge may have to remain on the berth overnight and moved back on the following day Friday 2nd November.
During the arrival and shifting of the barge there will be restrictions on vessels movements in the Outer Harbour & Docks.
During the period the barge is on the South Load-out there may be a requirement to send a mooring line from the barge to the Waveney Dock dumphead, this will restrict all vessel movements.
All vessels before moving in the Waveney or Hamilton Dock must contact the Tug stationed at the stern of the barge before passing and Port Control for details of mooring lines and movements.
Fishing vessels may use the Trawl Dock for berthing over this period.
The ETA of the barge and the dates of the barge load-out are all subject to weather conditions and daylight moving. The times of these operations may change at short notice.
