Commercial and Small Boat Openings During Bridge Maintenance
Extended Bridge Closures 2000 Saturday to 0600 Tuesday
During this period any commercial vessel that requires the bridge to be raised within the 1.5 hour window before high-water must give as much notice as possible to the Port Control.
The openings for small craft will be arranged for the high-water time, provided a minimum of 45 minutes' notice has been received by the Port Control. They may be asked to use a commercial opening in this period if one has been arranged.
Overnight Closures 2000 to 0600 October 2007 to February 2008
During these periods small boat openings will be suspended, unless they can be fitted in with a commercial opening, which should be requested before 2000hrs on the night of the closure.
Non Bridge Closure Days
Commercial vessels are requested to give a minimum of 45 minutes' notice to the Port Control if they require a bridge lift.
All small boat opening times outside the bridge closure times require a minimum of 45 minutes' notice to the Port Control. This will remain in force until February 2008.
