NOTICE TO MARINERS No. 4 of 2011
Notice of Partial Restriction for
Heigham Sound, Candle Dyke and River Thurne
Notice is hereby given that the Broads Authority will be undertaking dredging operations and will restrict passage through the navigation channel within Heigham Sound, Candle Dyke and along a short adjoining stretch of the River Thurne.
The works will be undertaken between 07:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday inclusive from:
Monday 4 April 2011 to Friday 29 July 2011
You may encounter delays of up to 1 hour whilst wherries are loaded, during which time passage past the dredging location will not be possible for safety reasons.
Please note that at all times you may only proceed past dredging vessels when clear indication is given that it is safe to do so. All equipment will be lit and signage will be in place regarding the restrictions and delays.
Please ensure you navigate with care and caution.
