Short visit toll
Short visit tolls are available for periods of up to 28 days within any tolls year (from 1 April to 31 March the following year).
If your vessel is kept or used in the navigation area or adjacent waters for more than 28 days in any tolls year you must buy an annual toll. You will be given credit for short visit payments already made.
Short visit tolls are available to purchase in-person from the Broads Authority at Yare House, 62-64 Thorpe Road, Norwich NR1 1RY as well as from a variety of short visit outlets in the Broads.
You can also purchase short visit tolls in advance by calling our tolls team on 01603 756080 between the hours of 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Please allow adequate time for the paperwork and toll stickers to be delivered by the post before your visit.
Short visit tolls for 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025
These are based on the length of the vessel's hull in metres and are available for periods of 1-7, 8-14, 15-21 (3x 1-7 day cost) or 22-28 (4x 1-7 day cost) consecutive days, or for any combination of these days up to a maximum of 28 days within any tolls year starting 1 April. (eg. four periods of 1-7 days, or one period of 1-7 days plus one period of 15-21 days).
Short visit tolls are issued on the condition that short visit numbers allocated will be properly and clearly displayed on the vessel.
Please note: Any form of motor fitted to a vessel classes that vessel as a motor craft and you must pay the motor craft toll. This includes an outboard motor fitted to a sailing dinghy.
