Day Boat Code of Practice
The Broads Authority is currently seeking powers under a Private Bill to license all day boats which operate within the Broads.
As an interim measure we have issued a Code of Practice for all day boat hire operators. This Code of Practice is based on best practice procedures and was formulated and agreed in conjuction with the local boat operators and the local authorities.
The Code of Practice covers areas such as number of passengers, handover procedures, safety equipment and letting conditions.
