Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 requires all public bodies to adopt and maintain a publication scheme for information.

This should specify:

  • The classes of information which the Authority publishes or intends to publish
  • The manner in which the information will be published

Here is the Broads Authority's Publication Scheme (pdf document) [172kb]

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) also requires all public bodies to detail whether information to be provided is available free of charge or whether a charge is made. The Broads Authority's Charging for the Provision of Information Policy (word document) [129kb] covers the charging policy for requests for information under the Publication Scheme, FOIA and Environmental Information Regulations (2004).

The logs of Freedom of Information Act requests are available for 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
