£25,951 to £30,153 per annum (pay award pending)

This rewarding role requires great people, organisational and technical Planning skills and is an ideal opportunity to work for the organisation that looks after the famous Broads – part of the national park family.

The role is responsible for the day to day operation of a planning support service to meet the needs of the Broads Authority as local planning authority and Broads Authority objectives, as well as developing and improving the service as required to meet changing legislation and customer requirements.

Validating planning and other applications, receiving planning fees, producing weekly lists of applications, planning and carrying out consultations, and advising on pre-application enquiries are key duties within the role, alongside line managing a small team and the principle administrator of CAPS Uniform electronic planning system.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable practical experience working with an electronic planning system and up to date knowledge of planning. Practical experience in the use and application of GIS mapping and the ability to read and interpret architectural drawings is also a key requirement.
