We are seeking an experienced, multi-skilled mechanical engineer to join our Fitter Team. You will service our fleet of vehicles, vessels, horticultural and heavy plant equipment which we use to maintain the Broads National Park. You will have responsibility for our workshop facilities, assisting the Plant and Equipment Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the team. You will also help to design and implement planned work schedules with a high emphasis on health and safety and comply with LOLER and PUWER regulations.
The successful candidate will have a professional engineering qualification, City & Guilds or NVQ level 2 or above in one of the following: Marine, construction, agricultural, HGV/LGV or engineering. They will also have sound practical skills and experience with welding and fabrication, 12 and 24 volt electrical systems, experience with digital control systems and a willingness to learn new skills. Knowledge of the Broads area and some boat handling experience would be an advantage.
