New Anglia Youth Pledge Marque

New Anglia Youth Pledge Marque Logo

We are delighted to announce that the Broads Authority has been awarded the New Anglia Youth Pledge Marque for 2018, demonstrating our commitment to supporting and nurturing the workforce of the future.

The Marque is awarded by the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to businesses or partners who pledge to one or more of three key areas. The Broads Authority has committed to meet all three areas of the pledge:

  • Apprenticeships - a pledge to increase the number of apprenticeships offered in the next 12 months or to continue to employ apprentices at a ratio of 2% of your workforce.

We currently employ 2% of our workforce through apprenticeships and hope to continue this into the future.

  • Work Experience - a pledge to increase the number of work experience placements offered in the next 12 months or to continue to offer at least one work experience placement per year per 25 employees.

We employ around 150 staff and take on over ten work experience students with us throughout the year in different capacities.

  • New Anglia Enterprise Adviser Network - a pledge that one or more employees will become, or continue to be, involved in the Enterprise Adviser Network, where senior business leaders work with schools and colleges to ensure strong links with their local business community and industry sectors.

Our Head of Strategy and Projects has joined the Enterprise Adviser Network to help improve the careers offering in a local school.
