Operations
Operations Directorate
The Operations directorate has been established, bringing together Countryside, Conservation and Navigation staff to develop an holistic approach to the management of the rivers and broads.
There are three Operations works Teams – Construction, Maintenance and Project Design all led by the Head of Construction and Maintenance Rob Rogers.
The Construction Team is made up of four senior technicians and eight operations technicians, supervised by Timmy Lamb. They will be responsible for delivering dredging, piling, channel markers and fen management projects.
The Maintenance Team is supervised by Matt Dane, and has four senior technicians and seven operations technicians who carry out maintenance, mooring refurbishment, vegetation management, special projects and site management projects.
The Project Design Team will be responsible for mitigation and environmental issues on dredging disposal sites, fen and marsh areas, and grazing sites and at mud pumping sites. The Rivers Engineer is included within this team so river and broads’ dredging specification, dredging disposal locations and the prioritisation of mooring maintenance also fall under the remit of this team as well as navigation works licences.
