Coastal Catchments Conference
A group of world experts met in Norwich to discuss the future of The Broads and international wetlands. The conference discussed the challenges of climate change and pollution prevention.Local scientists and flood defence managers heard how The Broads can adapt to climate change and rising sea levels, while maintaining a valued wildlife area for the nation. Scientists from the USA and the Netherlands provided their experience of managing similar wetlands.
The Broads Authority was delighted to bring such a wealth of knowledge to Norwich. By sharing the tough challenges that face the Broads we hope to find some solutions.
The conference was organised by the Broads Authority, the University of East Anglia, King’s Lynn Consortium of Internal Drainage Boards and Cranfield University.
