Broads Tourism and the Broads Authority are inviting children at local primary schools to take part in a competition to design bunting to promote adventures in the Broads.
The prize for this competition is the use of Broads Tours’ trip boat Vintage Broadsman for a three hour private charter. Schools may choose to treat pupils to a party on board or they could sell tickets and hold a fund raising event.
To enter the competition pupils are asked to make a bunting design on the theme of ‘Outdoor Adventures in the Broads’.
The winning design and the nine runner-up designs will be made into a string of bunting to be displayed on the Vintage Broadsman and at Broads Authority events throughout the summer.
The competition will be officially launched during English Tourism Week (5 – 13 March 2016) and entrants will have until Monday 11 April to complete their eye-catching designs.
The winner will be chosen by a panel including Greg Munford (Chief Executive of Richardson’s Boating Holidays), Barbara Greasley (Director of Broads Tours) and Jacquie Burgess (Chair of the Broads Authority).
If you would like to take part in the competition please contact Nick Sanderson, Broads Authority Education Officer, tel 01603 756089 or email email@example.com
