Forum members meet to discuss future of the Broads
Broads Forum members took part in a workshop at Dragonfly House to consider key issues and priority objectives for the next Broads Plan, the key management plan for the Broads.
Members were invited to consider key challenges, trends and opportunities facing the Broads and its future management, and highlight what they considered to be priority objectives to be addressed during the lifetime of the next Broads Plan (5-7 years). Discussions took into account longer term issues, in particular the impacts of climate change on the Broads’ landscape and communities.
Feedback from the workshop will be used by the Authority to help inform the preparation of the draft Broads Plan. The draft Plan will be subject to widespread public consultation, provisionally scheduled to take place in early 2010. Information on the Broads Plan review process, and how to get involved and have your say, will be published on the website.
