Free canoeing on the Broads
Free Canoeing Morning

The Broads Canoe Hire Association is pleased to offer you the opportunity to hire a canoe for free, for up to one hour on Saturday morning.
If you’ve never had the chance to try canoeing before then this is the perfect time for you to do it. All our canoe hire centres offer full equipment and a canoeing safety talk before you launch so that you know exactly what you are doing when you are out on the water.
There is no better way to explore the Broads than by canoe- it’s silent and close to the water so you really feel part of nature. At this time of year it is perfect for checking out newly hatched chicks -- huddling ducklings and cute baby grebes trying to clamber onto their parents backs are now in abundance. It is also a good work out so now is the time to shake out those winter cobwebs and get paddling!
Why not come along to one of our nine canoe hire centres on Saturday 22nd May for our free canoeing morning and give it a go?
Canoes will be available from 9am – 12pm on a first come, first served basis. Buoyancy aids and paddles will be provided, as well as start up tuition and a safety talk before you go out on the water. At the Broads Canoe Hire Association, we consider your safety our priority.
We want you to enjoy the beauty of the Broads and what better way to do it than from a canoe.
Canoes take a maximum of three adults or two adults and two small children. Normal hire rates: £20 up to three hours, £30 for up to six hours. Hourly and 24 hour rates are available on request. Visit www.canoethebroads.co.uk for more information.
