Development Management Policies DPD
Development management policies focus on key planning and development issues that affect those who live in, work in and visit the Broads. This includes, for example, development within the flood plain, sustainable design, and economic development in a protected landscape. These detailed policies, developed from the Broads Core Strategy policies, will be used in determining planning applications.
The Broads Authority resolved to adopt its Development Management Policies DPD on 18 November 2011 and the DPD was formally adopted on 25 November 2011.
The Adoption Notice may be viewed below, together with the adoption version of the DPD, the Inspector’s Report and associated documents. All documents are in PDF format.
Any person aggrieved by the adoption of the Development Management Policies DPD may make an application to the High Court under Section 113 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, on the grounds that the document is not within the appropriate powers of the Broads Authority and/or procedural requirements have not been complied with. Any such application must be made promptly and no later than 6 weeks after the date on which the DPD was adopted, i.e. by 6 January 2012.
