Examination of the Local Plan for the Broads 2018

Full Authority, on 16 March 2018, resolved to submit the Local Plan for the Broads to the Planning Inspectorate for examination in public.

The Local Plan was sent to the Planning Inspectorate on 19 March 2018, and the examination process is now underway. Please check this page regularly for news and updates. All examination documents are in the Examination Library (see below). A paper copy of all documents may be viewed at the Authority's head office.

Planning Inspector

The Planning Inspector is Ms Katie Child BSc (Hons) MA MRTPI. Her task is to examine the soundness of the Plan and whether it meets the requirements of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 and associated regulations.

Programme Officer

The Programme Officer for the Examination is Maria Conti. In this capacity she is acting as an independent link between all parties and the Planning Inspector, and is the first point of contact on all Examination matters. She is available 9am-5pm, Tuesdays to Fridays, and Mondays to Fridays during the two examination weeks.
