Birds of The Broads

TernStep back 100 years with James Blythe, then meet ornithologist Derek Moore, formerly Director of the Suffolk Wildlife Trust. He introduces Carlton Marshes, “where it all began”, which he sees as “Broadland in miniature”, and then takes us to his favourite place near Hickling Broad (Norfolk Wildlife Trust). We also hear from Jennifer Smart of the RSPB as she takes us on an exploration of Breydon Water, the estuary near Great Yarmouth. Breydon is the confluence of the Rivers Bure, Yare and Waveney and is great for birds throughout the year - with residents, migratory birds and summer breeding birds.
