The purpose of the role is to skipper the Broads Authority’s electric trip boat Liana at Hoveton providing a commentary to visitors. In addition, there is a requirement to provide lunchtime cover at the Hoveton visitor centre giving a flexible and comprehensive information service.
The successful candidate will need good knowledge of the Broads and its wildlife. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to communicate verbally with a wide range of people in a warm and friendly manner. Good boat handling skills are required to operate the Liana (training will be given) and IT skills to use a computer and computerised tills.
