Visitor Services Officer (Liana Trip Boat Skipper)
£21,575 - £21,968 pro rata per annum
Ranworth Information Centre 18 hours per week, working Mondays and Tuesdays, Fixed contract until November 2023
The purpose of this role is to skipper the Broads Authority’s Liana electric trip boat on the river Bure at Ranworth providing a commentary to visitors. In addition, there is a requirement to assist with visitor mooring on the staithe and to provide lunchtime cover at the Ranworth visitor information centre giving a welcoming and comprehensive information service.
The successful candidate will need good knowledge of the Broads and its wildlife. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to communicate verbally with a wide range of people in a warm and friendly manner. Good boat handling skills/experience are required (RYA level 2 powerboat certificate desirable) to operate the Liana (training will be given) and IT skills to use a computer and computerised tills.
