Taking place from 1-9 June 2019, the inaugural Broads Restaurant Week promises to bring some fantastic food and drink at special prices to restaurants throughout the Broads National Park.
Over 20 restaurants throughout the Broads have signed up to be part of Broads Restaurant Week, specialising in everything from hearty pub favourites to contemporary twists on international cuisine. There’s a variety of eateries to try including restaurants, pubs and cafés in both the northern and southern areas of the Broads National Park, all offering something unique.
During the event, participating restaurants will be offering special set menus at affordable prices, including two courses for either £15 or £20, or three courses for either £20 or £25. No vouchers are required to get the special offers, simply book directly with the venue and quote Broads Restaurant Week. Full menus can be viewed online on the Broads Restaurant Week website.
Sara Thwaites, who has taken a leading role in bringing Broads Restaurant Week to life, said of the event,
“When we considered just how popular restaurant weeks have become over the last few years in the UK, and the fact that the Broads National Park has some truly unique places to eat, starting our own Restaurant Week was a no-brainer.
Whether you’re a vegetarian, vegan, have other dietary requirements or even children who are fussy eaters, we’ve tried to attract a whole host of different venues to take part so that there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
You could visit your favourite restaurant or try somewhere completely new, either way we hope you’ll make the most of this fantastic opportunity to sample some of the best cuisine the Broads National Park has to offer.”
Kia Tansley, Assistant Manager at the Hotel Wroxham said,
“Broads Restaurant Week is a fabulous idea and the team at Hotel Wroxham are very excited to be taking part in it.
“We all agree that it’s a fantastic opportunity for people in the area to trial some different restaurants around the Broads that they might have never visited.
“It has allowed us to promote our business to new audiences and show the locals what delicious food we have to offer!”
There’ll be some great local produce to sample including asparagus grown in Norfolk, Suffolk cod loin and artisan Baron Bigod cheese produced in the Waveney Valley. Visitors will also be able to enjoy fine drink alongside their Restaurant Week food, with Woodfordes’ brewery tap the Fur and Feather Inn taking part in the event and many venues offering local ales and spirits.
The new Restaurant Week has been set up in conjunction with Visit the Broads with support from local business owners and the Broads Authority. For further information visit the official website https://www.broadsrestaurantweek.co.uk/
