Get ready to Go Wild at Barton Turf on Sunday 13 May for a special Broads Outdoors Festival event.
With a host of activities including wildlife trails, craft activities, pond-dipping and bird box making, Go Wild at Barton is guaranteed to be fun for all the family. There will be experts on hand to teach you all about the amazing wildlife that call Norfolk their home, and the opportunity to get up close and personal with some miraculous minibeasts freshly caught from the dyke on-site.
You can even take to the water by canoeing around Barton Broad, one of the largest of the 60+ shallow lakes in the national park. Or, if relaxing is more your thing, you can enjoy the water from one of the many skippered boat trips running throughout the day.
The event takes place from 11am until 4pm at Barton Turf Adventure Centre, Staithe Road, Barton Turf, Norwich NR12 8AZ. Free entry and parking, with charges for some activities such as boat trips. Booking not required, just turn up and join in. Refreshments will be available from the on-site café. Some areas may not be suitable for wheelchairs. No dogs please (except assistance dogs).
The event wraps up the 2018 Broads Outdoors Festival, which has featured over 80 outdoor events and activities from 28 April to 13 May including guided walks, water sports sessions, wildlife events and much more. You can find full listings of the remaining events on www.VisitTheBroads.co.uk/outdoors-festival.
