It’s time to go wild at Barton Turf! On Sunday 12 May at Barton Turf Adventure Centre between 11am and 4pm there will be a Broads fun day extravaganza for all of the family tp enjoy.
Activities on offer are varied and include: pond dipping, boat trips, wherry sailing, minibeast hunting, children’s crafts, geocaching, bush craft, willow work, face painting, teddy bear games, wildlife rescue, and refreshments.
The star of the show will be the much anticipated ‘North Norfolk Worm Charming Championships’ in which competitors compete to charm as many worms as they can out of the ground in an allotted time.
Broads Authority Education Officer Nick Sanderson said of the event,
“Barton Turf Adventure Centre is the perfect setting for a day of family fun in the Broads National Park. Parents and kids alike will love the unusual activities which we have on offer, from getting out on the water to having a chance to interact with Broads wildlife up close. It’s not the North Norfolk Worm Charming Championships every day so make sure you put Sunday 12 May in your calendar!”
