The Awards are a way of thanking some of the outstanding volunteers who dedicate thousands of hours of their time each year, helping to make the UK National Parks Britain’s most remarkable landscapes. The Awards apply to any volunteers aiding any organisation which operate within a National Park boundary, not just volunteers for the Broads Authority.

There are four categories for which a volunteer can be nominated, - Individual, Young Person (25 years and below), Group and Project. All category winners will receive a signed certificate and prizes, provided by Columbia Sportswear.

Eoin Treacy, Sales & Marketing Manager Columbia UK & Ireland said,

“National Park volunteers maintain and bring to life our most inspiring landscapes. Columbia is delighted to support the Volunteer Awards, and we look forward to the Kendal Mountain Festival when we’ll present the winners with their well-deserved prizes.”

Lottie Carlton, Volunteer Coordinator for the Broads Authority said,

“We’re so delighted that members of the public will have the opportunity to nominate volunteers who offer their free time so readily to help the Broads National Park. Anybody volunteering for any organisation within the Broads executive area is eligible for this award. It would be great to see a variety of nominations from different organisations to represent the diversity of initiatives supported by volunteers which take place in the Broads.”

Nominations are being accepted until 12 noon on Monday 16 September 2019.
