New volunteers are being sought to carry out work in the Broads over the winter.
The Broads Authority is looking for winter practical volunteers who can commit to at least a day a week.
They could volunteer for the whole four months from September to December for at least one day a week between Monday to Friday or commit to a three to four week block within that time.
And any potential volunteers will get the chance to try out what work they would be doing before deciding whether it’s for them.
Broads Authority Volunteer Co-ordinator Beth Williams said: “Each autumn we undertake a substantial amount of habitat management between September and the end of December.
“We have a core band of dedicated volunteers who help us all year round with a range of activities and we would like to add to their numbers this autumn to help clear the encroaching vegetation.
“New winter practical volunteers will be joining a group of dedicated staff and volunteers keen to get a vital piece of work done before the New Year.”
Once the Broads Authority has received applications potential volunteers will go out for a taster of the type of tasks they would be doing.
If they want to continue volunteering longer term a three hour training session will be given.
Please visit the Winter Practical Volunteer page to apply.
