Vacancies for Co-opted Members to join Navigation Committee
The Authority is inviting eight people to apply to be members of its Navigation Committee, with new Appointments taking place from April 2027.

Applicants should have a good knowledge of the Broads and its special qualities; the navigation area and current relevant issues; and the varied recreational uses of the Broads. Applicants should be available to attend a minimum of five meetings a year, taking place on weekdays.
A modest co-optee allowance and reasonable expenses will be paid. Appointments are subject to consultation with various bodies as provided by the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads Act 1988.
All applicants will be required to complete an application form in line with the guidance provided. Shortlisting of the candidates for interview will be undertaken by the Selection Panel. The Authority will consult the Navigation Committee and user organisations on the list of recommended candidates for appointment following interview prior to the confirmation of appointment by the Broads Authority on 26 February 2027. The criteria for the shortlisting and interviews will be those set out in the job description and person specification below.
There are 8 vacancies in total and the Selection Panel will have regard to the requirements for the appointments as set out in Section 9 of the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads Act which sets out the framework for the appointment of the Committee.
