Our search portal, called Public Access, allows you to follow the progress of your planning application.
You can also find details of applications made by others, including supporting documents which have been sent to our planning service.
In accordance with current Government guidance, the Planning Department are mostly working from home. We encourage you to use email for correspondence at this time as this will enable your enquiry to be dealt with more quickly.
Public Access search portal
With the Public Access portal you can:
- Monitor the progress of an application and be notified by email of changes or updates
- Submit comments about an application
- See a list of applications submitted and decided each week
- See whether an appeal has been lodged and any appeal decisions
- Save searches and be emailed about a new application
- Check whether an appeal has been lodged and any appeal decisions
- View details of historic applications
- View property details by reference to a map.

The Broads Authority is committed to the highest standard of quality information and every attempt has been made to present up to date and accurate information.
However, we make no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, currency or suitability for any purpose of the information and related graphics published on this site. The information on this site may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors and it may not necessarily be up to date. Those who wish to view the correspondence relating to a planning application have the right to inspect the file held in the Broads Authority offices at Yare House, 62-64 Thorpe Road, Norwich, NR1 1RY. All liability of the Authority for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused as a result of reliance on such information is expressly excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Planning application documents submitted to the Broads Authority are protected by the Copyright Acts (Section 47, 1988 Act). You may only use material which is downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes, to compare current applications with previous schemes and to check whether developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans. Further copies must not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner, the applicant, agent and architect.
Please note that any representations submitted using the 'Comments' facility will be made publicly available (including to the applicant and their agent) and that confidential representations cannot be taken into account by the Broads Authority.
