I am the Managing Director of Goodchild Marine Services LTD.
My affinity of boats began at the age of 15 with boat builders Jack Powles in Great Yarmouth where I gained my initial work experience. With the fond love for working with boats and wood, I took an apprenticeship with Maycraft Boat Service Limited building wooden clinker boats.
In 1978 when I was 19 I decided to go out on my own and Goodchild Marine began which I immensely proud of.
I hold a Commercial Yacht Masters and I am a Sailing Instructor also.
I live in Reedham and also have my boats in South Walsham.
Boating and the broads have been my life and now can enjoy precious family time at our South Walsham property along with being part of a sailing group in Horning.
I enjoyed my time previously being part of the Broads Navigation Committee and look forward to the future to being part of the team again.
