I am a Chartered Accountant by profession specialising in auditing / advising large corporates particularly in the engineering, manufacturing and transport sectors.
My involvement with the Broads begun at age 15 when I was lucky enough to be taken there from London by a youth group. That trip triggered an interest in nature which led to me taking a Zoology degree, but also in sailing which lay latent for many years until I reached a point in family and professional life where I was able to revisit both sailing and the Broads. With my wife we have owned a river cruiser class yacht for the last 17 years, currently a Farrington 25 which we love. We also keep a dayboat to run us about as we have a small riverside bungalow on the Thurne which is about a 10 minute walk up a regularly flooded path from the nearest parking.
