Biography
I am a transformative leader in place-making and green growth, driven by a passion for healthy, economically resilient, and inclusive communities that value nature. I have held a series of senior roles in the heritage tourism and charitable sectors, which has included overseeing the cleanup and rewilding of canals and rivers, and working with farmers in Norfolk to implement regenerative agriculture and catchment-sensitive farming.
I build effective partnerships at local and national level between the public, private and charitable sectors to enable climate action and nature recovery. This has included setting up a national network of coastal and estuary management partnerships.
Through my voluntary board work, I support investment in deprived communities and conservation of heritage craft skills. As an Essex Climate Action Commissioner, I help lead a pioneering county-scale decarbonisation and nature recovery initiative, which is creating new jobs for local people in the green economy.
