Ground Investigation Works at Potter Heigham
Notice is hereby given that ground investigation works will be carried out at Potter Heigham Staithe and Potter Heigham Demasting moorings, which will involve a drilling rig being erected on the Staithe and demasting moorings; the works area will be fenced off to prevent public access. The works are due to take place:
- at Potter Heigham Staithe on the Tuesday 15th September 2026 until Friday 18th September 2026,
- and at Potter Heigham Demasting mooring on the Wednesday 23rd September 2026 until Friday 25th September 2026.
All works will be carried out between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00.
Note: During the above period, the affected section of the Staithe and Demasting moorings (approximately half of each mooring) will be closed to vessels for mooring. The navigation will remain open but vessels must exercise great care whilst proceeding past the vicinity of the works.
Alternative 24hr moorings and moorings to assist with demasting can be found at Repps Bank (TG 41983 18430), Bridge Green (TG 42024 18515) and Martham Bank (TG 42172 18591).
Please ensure that these investigations are taken into consideration for passage planning and when navigating in this area.
