Navigation Restriction on Approaches to Reedham Swing Bridge

Notice is hereby given that a survey will be carried out on Reedham Swing Bridge, which will involve a modular floating pontoon being positioned underneath the bridge. A safety workboat will be on site to advise any navigating vessels when they can safely pass through. The works are due to take place between Tuesday 4th August and Friday 14th August 2026. It will take approximately 10 days to complete, with points across the bridge being surveyed periodically between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 for this period.

Note: During the above period, navigation will remain open. Please see our website for updates regarding the operational status of the Swing Bridge. Vessels must exercise great care whilst proceeding past the vicinity of the works.

Please ensure that this survey is taken into consideration for passage planning and when navigating in this area.
