URGENT BOATING NEWS – NAVIGATION CLOSURE AT BECCLES OLD BRIDGE DUE TO EMERGENCY REPAIR WORKS

Notice is hereby given that emergency repair works will take place at Beccles Old Bridge on the River Waveney. The works are due to take place from Thursday 11^th June through to Friday 12^th June 2026.

Note: During the above period, navigation under the bridge will be CLOSED to all vessels between the times of 10am and 4pm each day.

During the period when the navigation is open, until works are completed, the current restriction in bridge height will still apply.

Vessels navigating in the area must follow any instructions given by safety crew on site. Please ensure that these works are taken into consideration for passage planning and when navigating in this area.

Personnel on safety boats will be in place to warn of the closure.
