Return of refreshments to How Hill and Acle for 2026
Visitors at two of the most iconic locations in the Broads National Park will be treated to a mouth-watering range of refreshments this year.

Natural Rise will be returning to the grounds of Toad Hole Cottage at How Hill following a successful trial in 2025. Barista coffee, teas and cold drinks, as well as hot paninis, cakes, topped American-style pancakes and other delicious treats will be served from the converted horse box courtesy of the family run company led by Simon and Sylwia Garner.
Sylwia commented “We are delighted to be invited back to How Hill having received such incredibly positive feedback last year. I am passionate about providing great food and drink to our customers and to be able to do so in such a beautiful location is such a joy. We look forward to seeing some familiar faces and making new friends when we return on the 28 March.”
Toad Hole Cottage has plenty of outdoor seating for visitors to soak up the surroundings of the cottage garden. Natural Rise will be open every day from 10am to 5pm, with extended opening hours planned for the summer months.
Our much-loved range of Ronaldo ice creams will also be available from Toad Hole Cottage.

The Authority is also delighted to welcome a new catering provider to its Acle Bridge moorings site. Twin’s Bakes have established an enviable reputation for incredible tray bakes, brownies, savouries, buffets and even celebration and wedding cakes! Having served customers at many of Norfolk’s top attractions and events, they are pitching up their converted horsebox trailer at Acle Bridge with even more delights to tantalise the tastebuds of hungry visitors.
Savoury bites include jacket potatoes, hot dogs/chilli dogs, paninis, scotch eggs, sausage rolls, scones and more. For the sweeter tooth their famous signature bakes, cakes and cookie pies will also be on offer to be washed down with milkshakes, coffee, hot drinks and ice creams.
Porsha and Paisley from Twin’s Bakes said “Acle Bridge is such a fantastic location and we can’t wait to start serving hungry boaters, walkers, cyclists and drivers during our first season here. We will announce the opening date on our Facebook and Instagram accounts so encourage everyone to give us a follow.”

Twin’s Bakes hope to open their serving hatches later this spring once ongoing improvement works have finished at the popular Acle bridge moorings. They intend to be serving from Wednesdays to Sundays, 10am to 4pm with extended opening times to 6pm on Saturdays. They will also open every day during school and bank holidays.
The horsebox and outdoor seating will be situated at Main Road, A1064 Acle Bridge, Fleggburgh NR13 3AT alongside the existing thatched chalet and newly refurbished toilet block next to the 24 hour river moorings.
We extend a warm welcome to the Natural Rise and Twin’s Bakes and hope visitors will enjoy all they have to offer.
