Broadland Catchment PartnershipWe are a range of organisations working together to improve the water environment within the Broadland Rivers Catchment. This includes all land that feeds water into the rivers Bure, Waveney, Wensum and Yare.Opportunity Mapping 2014-2016We have produced maps that highlight areas which have the potential to provide a range of different benefits (ecosystem services) to society. Stakeholders, including farmers, agreed which ecosystem services and data to use and developed a scoring system. Provision of food, energy or materials is a key service from agricultural land but the extent can vary according to the suitability of the land for providing other ecosystem services including provision of: clean water; flood risk reduction; wildlife habitat; carbon storage; and recreation.

The catchment web map can be used by farmers and their advisers to inform land management decisions in the Broadland Rivers Catchment. This is to improve the targeting of voluntary measures to deliver multiple benefits and will support the Broads Authority in meeting its statutory duties.
