The Town and Country Planning (Brownfield Land Register) Regulations 2017 requires local authorities to prepare and maintain registers of brownfield land that is suitable for housing.
Brownfield land registers will provide up-to-date and consistent information on sites that local authorities consider to be appropriate for residential development.
The Broads Authority has produced its Brownfield Register. The contents are correct as of 4 December 2019. The register will be reviewed annually.
Part 1 of a brownfield land register will comprise all brownfield sites that a local planning authority has assessed as appropriate for residential development, having carried out any procedures such as consultation which they consider appropriate. This is a part 1 register only.
The sites on the register are those with extant planning permission, those sites allocated in the Sites Specific Local Plan 2014 and those sites allocated in the emerging Local Plan for the Broads (set for examination early 2018).
