Looking after

The Broads is Britain's largest protected wetland and has national park status.

It has 28 Sites of Special Scientific Interest, many National and Local Nature Reserves and is home to a quarter of the UK's rarest species. The Broads Authority looks after this magical waterland with responsibility for conservation, maintaining the waterways, recreation, tourism and planning. We need to consider all these interests together to manage the Broads now and for the future.
