In tribute to Her Majesty the Queen

HM Queen Elizabeth II

We are immensely saddened by the passing of Her Majesty the Queen and send our deepest condolences to the Royal Family.

Throughout her life Her Majesty has exemplified the pinnacle of dedication to public service that we all aspire to emulate.

In common with other public bodies and as a mark of respect the Authority is giving careful thought to the rescheduling of public meetings and events during this period of National Mourning. External communications from our social media accounts will also be restricted.

Please refer to the Broads Authority website for information regarding public meetings and boating news. The meeting of our Planning Committee scheduled for 16 September has been rescheduled to Wednesday 21 September.

The meeting of the Broads Authority will take place on Friday 23 September, as planned.

Most Broads Authority services will be closed on the day of the Queen’s funeral, Monday 19 September, including the Tourist Information Centres and boat trips.

Water safety-related services will remain operational on Monday 19 September (Broads Control, patrolling of rivers by the rangers, and the yacht stations).

Please check directly with organisers before attending any public events.
