After a career in ecological research and global conservation policy, Dr Mark Collins now pursues his interests in sailing and natural history, principally in Broadland. He is Research Committee Chair for the Norfolk & Norwich Naturalist’s Society, leading a major study in Broadland Country Park. As Founding Chair of the Swallowtail & Birdwing Butterfly Trust, he is concerned about the risks faced by our own British Swallowtail. Mark has numerous publications to his name and is a regular contributor to the Broads Society magazine, Harnser. As Commodore of the Northern Rivers Sailing Club, he races his Pegasus yacht on the Broads and joins cruises offshore from his moorings near Thurne Mouth.
